What you are buying when you buy a gang sheet

A gang sheet is one continuous piece of transfer film, 22 inches wide, with as many designs on it as you can fit. You are not buying designs and you are not buying sheets — you are buying inches off a roll, at $0.40 each, from 12 inches up to 240. A 22 × 24 inch sheet is $9.60 whether it carries one design or thirty.

That is the whole economic argument for the format. Screen printing charges you per colour and per screen, so a ten-design job is ten setups. Vinyl charges you per cut. Film charges you for the length it unrolls, which means the only thing standing between you and a lower unit cost is how tightly you pack the sheet.

Two ways in, same price

If the layout already exists — you built it in Illustrator, Canva or the tool your old supplier gave you — hand us the finished file and we print it as sent. If it does not exist yet, lay it out in the browser and the length is calculated as you drag, so you see the price before you commit to it.

Several printers charge about ten per cent more for a sheet their own builder laid out. We do not. The tool costs us nothing to run, so charging for it would be a fee in search of a justification. $0.40 either way.

What arrives

Sheets up to 24 inches travel flat between two boards in a rigid mailer. Longer sheets are rolled face-in around a core and boxed. Nothing is folded. The designs are not cut apart — the film arrives as one piece and you cut around each design, which is why a quarter inch of space between them matters more than it sounds.

Orders placed on a business day print that day. Where the truck goes next is on the the ground table, with real carrier bands rather than a marketing promise.

Questions we get

What is the minimum order?

Twelve inches, which is $4.80. There is no sheet minimum, no order minimum and no account to open first. A single 22 × 12 sheet gets the same film, the same colour check and the same packaging as a 240-inch run.

How many designs fit on one sheet?

It depends on their widths, not their count. The roll is 22 inches across, so four 5-inch designs sit in a row; a 10-inch back print takes a row of its own. The size and price table works through the common cases, and the builder shows you the packed result before you pay.

Do I need to mirror the artwork or add a white layer?

No to both. Send it reading the right way round, and leave the white underbase to us — the printer lays it down automatically where the design needs it. What we do need is 300 DPI at the size you intend to press, and a transparent background rather than a white box.

Can I mix designs for different customers on one sheet?

Yes, and plenty of shops do. The sheet does not care whose logo is on it. If you are reselling, the per-inch rate is the same at one sheet a month as at thirty, so you can quote a job before you win it.
