Artwork & Content Policy
We print almost anything a maker sends us. The exceptions are few, they are specific, and they are here so nobody is surprised at the press.
Rights
When you upload artwork you are telling us you have the right to reproduce it. That means you made it, you licensed it, or your client did and passed the right to you. It also means the artwork does not use someone else’s registered trademark, logo, character, likeness or protected design without permission. Sports teams, film and TV characters, brand logos, band names and celebrity faces are the usual problem cases; “for a friend” and “just a few” do not change the answer.
We check files for how they will print, not for whether you are allowed to print them. If we notice an obvious infringement we will decline the order and refund it; if we do not notice, that does not make it allowed, and under the Terms of Service you carry the claim, not us.
Content we do not print
- Hate: content that attacks people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation, including symbols of hate groups.
- Threats, incitement, or glorification of violence against real people or groups.
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form, drawn or otherwise. This is reported, not just declined.
- Counterfeits: anything designed to pass as another brand’s product.
- Anything whose printing or sale is illegal in Illinois or in the state it ships to.
Content we do print
Profanity, political opinion, satire, adult humour, your ex’s name inside a heart with a line through it, band merch for a band that is yours. Taste is your department. We are a print shop, not an editor, and the line above is about harm and law, not about whether we would wear it.
Parody and fan art
Parody is protected in some circumstances and not in others, and “inspired by” is not a category the law recognises. If a reasonable person would think the design came from, or was licensed by, the brand it references, we decline it. If it is clearly your own work commenting on something, we print it, and the rights position is yours to stand behind.
If we decline
You get an email saying which part of this policy applies and a full refund. We do not keep declined artwork beyond the normal retention period and we do not share it. Repeated attempts to print declined content close the account.
