One design. One size. One price.
For the days when composing a gang sheet is more admin than the job deserves: a sample for a client who wants to hold it before committing, a single left chest for the one shirt the drop was missing, a run of tags at a size you can quote from memory. Pick the size the design will actually be on the garment, upload the file, tell us how many. Each transfer is cut individually and arrives ready to press.
Which size for which placement
- 2 × 2 to 3 × 4: back-neck tags, sleeve hits, hat fronts, small logos on totes.
- 4 × 4 to 5 × 5: the classic left chest. 3.5 to 4 inches wide reads as intentional; wider starts to look like a target.
- 6 × 6 to 8 × 8: youth fronts, hoodie pocket prints, centre-chest marks that want to be seen from across a room.
- 10 × 10 to 12 × 17: adult full fronts and backs. A 12-inch-wide print on a small tee runs into the side seams; 10 to 11 is the safer number for a mixed size run.
The size is the box your design has to fit inside. A tall narrow design in an 11 × 11 uses the height and leaves the width; that is fine, and it is still the right size to order if 11 inches tall is what you need.
The file
PNG on a transparent background at 300 DPI for the ordered size, or PDF, TIFF, SVG. Not mirrored. Colour in sRGB. We read the pixel dimensions when you upload and tell you if the file will not hold at that size. White in the file prints white; transparent prints nothing; the underbase goes down automatically.
Same film, same finish
By-size transfers come off the same press and the same matte film as our gang sheets, so a sample ordered here is an honest preview of the run you will order later. Press at 300–315 °F, 12–15 seconds, cold peel, second press through parchment. Settings in full on the FAQ.
When a gang sheet is cheaper
Past a dozen or so pieces, a gang sheet usually costs less per transfer than ordering by size, because you are paying for the roll rather than the cut. If that is you, the upload page or the builder will save you money and we would rather tell you than not.
How to press it
| Temperature | 300–315 °F (150–157 °C) |
|---|
| Time | 12–15 seconds, medium-firm pressure |
|---|
| Peel | Cold. Wait until the film is cool to the touch, then peel low and steady. |
|---|
| Second press | Parchment or Teflon over the design, 5–8 seconds. This is where the matte finish comes from. |
|---|
| 100% polyester | 270–285 °F for 15–20 seconds, to avoid scorch and dye migration. |
|---|
Pre-press the blank for 5 seconds first — it flattens the fabric and drives out moisture, and skipping it is the most common cause of a transfer that fails one shirt in ten. Full guide and troubleshooting table.
What to send
- PNG on a transparent background, 300 DPI at print size. PDF, TIFF and SVG also work. Not JPG — it has no transparency and the white box around your design would print.
- Send it the way it should read. Mirroring happens in our print software; do it as well and it prints backwards.
- sRGB. Opaque colour where you want colour, transparent where you want the garment to show.
- Strokes above 0.5 pt. Thinner lines print, then do not survive pressing and washing.
- A quarter inch between pieces on a gang sheet, half an inch from the edge. No crop or registration marks — they just print.
Every file is looked at before it prints. If something will disappoint you, we email before pressing print, not after. The full artwork guide.

If it comes out wrong
We reprint it. Print defects, the wrong size or quantity against the order, transit damage and lost parcels are all ours — reprinted on the press the same day we agree it, shipped free. Prefer the money back? Say so and it is refunded, tax and shipping included.
What we do not cover: change of mind, a file that printed exactly as sent, and pressing problems from the wrong temperature, time or a warm peel. We will help diagnose those, and if a whole batch fails with correct settings we treat it as a print defect.
Custom-printed to your file, so it is not returnable for change of mind — that is the standard position on made-to-order goods, and it is why we check every file before printing.
Report within 7 days with photographs. Full policy.
