Ready-to-Press Designs

What ready-to-press means here

These are designs from our own library, printed to order on the same film and the same press as a custom job. Nothing is sitting in a drawer waiting to be shipped — you pick a design and a size, it prints that business day, and it arrives as transfer film you press yourself. No licensing conversation, no artwork to prepare, no minimum.

The library exists for a specific customer: the market stall, the boutique, the home-run shop that sells twenty shirts a weekend and does not employ a designer. Buying a finished design at the pressed size is faster than commissioning one and cheaper than holding printed stock in nine sizes.

What is in the library

Nine sets, each built around a different buyer rather than a different mood board:

• Dry-humour quotes — the ones that sell at every craft fair in the Midwest, mostly single colour and mostly typographic.
• Words and nothing else, including matching sets: BIG, MIDDLE and LITTLE for siblings, LO and VE for the couple that will actually wear it.
• Soft palettes, bows and wildflowers — the spring boutique line, and where our colour work shows.
• Flowers and garden humour, from a hibiscus to Van Gogh's sunflowers, which are old enough to press legally.
• Single-line and outline work — the hardest thing a transfer can do well, because a thin stroke either holds or it does not.
• Hometown designs for this part of the map: Chicago arches and script, Illinois wordmarks, Detroit and Cleveland for the neighbours.
• Sports with no team names on them, so a youth league or a beer-league squad can press them without a licence.
• A small line for stylists and salons, built because three of the first ten people who emailed us were hairdressers.
• Blanks to press them onto, stocked so one order covers the film and the shirt.

Ordering a design, and ordering several

Each design is sold at a fixed pressed size, which makes a single piece simple to buy. If you want a handful at once, the cheaper route is to put them on one sheet: the price is $0.40 per linear inch of 22-inch film either way, so a sheet that packs four designs across costs a quarter per design of what four separate pieces cost. Drop them into the layout screen and the length — and the price — appears as you arrange them.
