A transfer shop for people who notice
Loop DTF prints direct-to-film transfers in Schaumburg, Illinois, for labels, studios and small brands across Chicago and the Great Lakes. We started it because the makers we knew were choosing between a supplier that was fast and a supplier whose prints they were proud of, and did not see why that was a choice.
What we are
A press, a film that finishes matte, a colour workflow we have argued about more than is healthy, and a small team that looks at every file before it prints and every sheet before it ships. We sell three things: gang sheets you lay out, gang sheets you build here, and single transfers by size. Everything prints the same day it is ordered and leaves by ground, which from the northwest suburbs reaches most of the region in a day or two.
We are based here on purpose. Chicago has more small apparel labels, screen-print refugees, streetwear drops and studio side projects per square mile than anywhere between the coasts, and most of them were shipping their transfers in from somewhere warmer and waiting a week. From Schaumburg, Milwaukee is a morning’s drive and Detroit is an afternoon’s. The truck does the rest.
What we care about, in order
- How it looks on the garment. Finish, colour, the way a print sits in the weave instead of on top of it. This is the axis we compete on and the one most suppliers do not write a sentence about.
- Whether it is the same next time. A label reordering its core designs in March should get March’s print in September. Profiles are locked; the press is checked daily; if the film changes, you hear about it first.
- Speed, honestly stated. Same-day print is a commitment, not a headline, and the shipping page says where the truck actually gets to in a day.
- Not making you pay for our software. The builder is free and prices the same as an upload. It always will.
What we are not
Not a warehouse with ten thousand designs and a search box. Not the cheapest per inch in the country, though we are in the neighbourhood. Not a print shop that will press your shirts for you; we make the transfers, you make the garment, and both of us are better at our half. And not a place with a counter: there is no walk-in, no pickup, no showroom. What there is instead is a print floor that runs, and a tracking number by mid-afternoon.
